Anil Kapoor Revives Saath, Ropes In AR Rahman

It was in 2015 that it was first announced that Rhea Kapoor will be producing a multi-starrer called Saath, directed by her beau Karan Bhoolani.

Soon enough, the ambitious project hit a roadblock thanks to increasing production costs and questions about its chances of success at the box-office.

Almost a year later, it looks like Saath has got a new lease of life. Now  Anil Kapoor has taken the matter into his hand and is now is reviving the film.

SpotboyE.com can tell you that he has roped in the Mozart of Madras AR Rahman for composing the music of the film. Rahman was a part of the original project too and has once again started work on Saath.

As per a source close to Rahman, the music sessions of the film have already commenced.

“Rahman sir had already recorded a few songs for the film which were approved by the producers. The film has five or six tracks and since the project is revived now, the final mixing of the tracks will begin soon. Anil Kapoor has always been a fan of AR Rahman and has always loved the kind of music he makes,” the source further said.

AR Rahman and Anil Kapoor have worked together for six projects which are Kabhi Na Kabhi (1998), Taal (1999), Pukar (2000), Nayak (2001), Yuvvraaj (2008) and Slumdog Millionaire (2009).

The news of Saath's revival comes hot on the heels of reports that Rhea may be ready to tie the knot with Karan soon. So is this a wedding present from Anil to the happy couple?
